I think I have become a real nerd
I thought it was about time I posted an update. Life is busy (as it always is) and I haven’t had enough time to do any writing. I also think that I’m lacking the motivation to write but perhaps that’s a side effect of being busy.
It was my birthday in October and for it I got three new books. I received Introduction to Algorithms
I have started off with Pragmatic Thinking and Learning: Refactor Your Wetware (Pragmatic Programmers)
as I think it will help me get the most out of the other books. I’ve read through the entire book once, and am reading it again. However, this time I’m going to try the exercises at the end of each chapter, and I’m also going to use the SQ3R reading method (mentioned in the book) to get as much out of the book as I can.
I haven’t done that much on the coding front. My file upload class is nearing completion (at least the first version). The file class takes the file, makes sure it’s valid, and then uploads it to the server. I’m adding in a few more bits and pieces, such as a thumbnail method, and once I get that done, I’ll perhaps release the class on this blog. I’d also like to turn it into a nice CakePHP component (I’m a Cake fan). 
I apologise for not updating in a while, but I’m not going to get bogged down with apolgising all of the time. Life’s busy at the moment, and there will be long periods of time when I won’t be able to update this blog as often as I’d like. Hopefully though, I’ll be able to update it a bit more oten than I do at the moment.

Sometimes we’re too busy doing, to write about it. Let yourself off the hook and keep surfing until you get inspired about something. Linking is as good as blogging. I blog about linking.
