Motivational and Inspirational Quotes – Week 3

Posted on February 18th, 2008.

It’s time for another inspirational and motivational set of quotes. The first quote is my favourite for this week.

“It is just the little touches after the average man would quit that make the master’s fame.”

Orison Swett Marden (1850 - 1924)

This quote kind of ties in with Edison’s quote from last week. Those who succeed are those who go that little bit further. Those who push themselves that bit hard in order to achieve their goals. Normal’s fine, but to be a success you need to go that little bit further.

Keep writing. Keep doing it and doing it. Even in the moments when it’s so hurtful to think about writing.”

Heather Armstrong, Keynote Speech, SXSW 2006

This is a quote for all of the bloggers and content writers out there. Just keep writing, no matter what you do, just keep writing things down. It’s something I’m quickly learning to do, don’t hit the back button and edit until you’ve got everything you want to say out of your head and unto paper.

That’s another two for this week. I hope these quotes are both motivational and inspirational. If so, leave a comment!

The first quote reminds me of a master artist with his students doing the preliminary work. After the bulk of the work’s done by his students, the master goes in to add his personal touches.
